*thinks quite a bit on this before finally coming to a decision*

*talks to her daughter as she changes out of her hospital gown into her real clothes*

Minuiel, sweetie, Daddy's back, but he doesn't know we're here. And Mommy's afraid he might never know we're here. Why would he think to look for us here? If we just sit around and wait for Daddy to find us, he might not ever, and then Mommy would be very sad and Daddy would be very sad and I bet Minuiel would be very sad too. SO Mommy's going to go find Daddy so we can all be together again. Doesn't that sound like a good idea? I thought so.

*kisses her daughter on the forhead and makes sure she's safely tucked in bed*

*softly* But Dr. Ron was right, baby, you're just too little to be out for a long time and Mommy doesn't know how long it will take to find Daddy. Mommy doesn't want you to get cold or hungry or sick. Mommy can find Daddy much faster if she knows you're safe and warm and happy. Dr. Ron will take care of you while Mommy's looking for Daddy, baby, and then once Mommy finds Daddy, we'll come right back for you! And then we can live with your Daddy and be happy! So you'll be a big girl and be good for Dr. Ron while Mommy's gone, right? That's right, I knew you would.

*gives her another kiss and places a note for Dr. Ron on the bedside table*

Goodbye, Minuiel. Mommy will hurry. *slips quite easily out of her room and out of the apparently poorly guarded hospital*

*wanders the streets of Delving with a look of awe on her face*

*walks through town looking morose and scowling at anyone who looks like they might try to sell him something*
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 17:10:07

*spots you IMMEDIATELY*

*almost shrieks in delight but then manages to calm herself to something resembling composure*

*walks over* Hello, Turambar. *small smile*
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 17:15:44

Oh good, another one. *tentatively* Hello?

*thinks you definitely look like you might try to sell him something*
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 17:18:46

*excitedly* I've been waiting for you for so long, Turambar, I was worried! *tentatively hugs him* I was so worried something happened to you. So so long.
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 17:26:29

*is, um, hugged*

*takes an awkward step back* *bites his lip* I'm sorry... I mean, clearly we know each other or at least you know me and obviously there's a lot I should remember that I don't but...I just don't. Remember you, I mean. I'm sorry.
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 17:29:16

*looks like she is totally about to lose it cry* Turambar? But... but... I'm Níniel.

*hopefully* I'm your wife? How can you not remember me?
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 17:35:19

shhhit I didn't...um... *really has no clue how to fix this* I don't even remember me. I think I must've been through some trauma? *pats you* I've been relying on other people to tell me everything. ButI'msureit'llcomebacktome!

Look, can I get you a new husband cup of coffee or something, Níniel?
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 17:38:14

*takes his hand like a good, understanding wife* I understand. You were gone for so long, of course something happened. That's why you didn't come back to u... me sooner. *decides he's pretty traumatised and she'll save the 'surprise, you're a daddy!' revelation for a bit*

*smiles* Let's go have a coffee, then, Turambar. Maybe I can help you remember.
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 17:45:22

*decides this can't be easy for you and that he should try to be a decent sort of completely clueless husband*

*walks with you willingly enough* It's all very strange. *would mention the fact that he, you know, died, except that it sounds insane. INSANE.* Thingol's told me hardly a fucking thing some things about me, though. Do you know Thingol?
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 17:48:03

*sort of dreamily* I don't think so, but I remember you telling me lots of stories about him. He was your father?

*leads him around rather cluelessly, since she's never actually spend time outside the hospital, but does eventually find an establishment in which to have coffee*
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 17:57:00

*smiles faintly* Well, he's not my real father. But in a way. I suppose. *under his breath* Although not by any definition that I've ever seen.

*is not unaware that he's being led sort of haphazardly* *finds them a table once they actually reach their destination* So...have you been living in Menegroth for very long? Níniel? *hopes that saying your name might spark a memory here or there*
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 18:03:17

*sits next to him and watches him adoringly* Not long, no. WeI've been staying with a friend here. He's a nice man. You'll like him. He's been looking after us.

Lúthien said you were staying with her. She'd better keep her hands off, yeah? You haven't been here too long, have you? *would just die if she thought he hadn't been looking for her (because she's already forgotten he doesn't remember her)*
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 18:14:30

*glances up to give the waiter their order and does a slight double-take*

*turning back to you* I'm glad you've had friends here while I wasn't here for you. :s I've only been back a few days. I'll be so relieved to finally get caught up on everything. *genuine smile* I hope you don't mind if I keep asking you about a million questions.
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 18:18:33

*smiles back* Ask me anything. I want you to remember everything, Turambar. I guess you're just like me when you found me. But at least I know your name for you.
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 18:30:26

*agreeably* At least one of us has it together. *oh the poor bastard*

*thinks* Well...can you tell me how we met? How long were...have we been married?

*tenses as the establishment is suddenly flooded with soldiers* What the hell?!
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 18:37:50

...*doesn't think you want to hear the real story of how they met* *or maybe you do, naked chick and all*

I was lost and I couldn't remember anything and I was frightened. *smiles* But you found me and gave me a name and took me back to your home and took care of me. *shrugs* Eventually we fell in love and were married. *sadly* We were only married a year before you had to go off to fight the dragon and that was the last I heard of you.

It's wonderful to see you again.

*looks to see what's causing the commotion and notices Thingol* *buries her face in the menu justincase*
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 18:44:33

the dragon

*goes slightly pale as an old memory brushes his mind, just out of reach*

That sounds terrible. *quickly* Not all of it. Just the part about having to leave. The rest sounds...nice. :)

*is torn between wanting to see what Beleg has gotten herself into is happening and instinctively thinking to remove you from danger*

*takes your hand protectively* This doesn't look good. Maybe I should take you home. *stands*
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 18:47:26

*quickly* I don't want to go home! Not... not yet. :) I want to stay with you. It's been so long. Can't we go somewhere else?
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 18:52:22

*puts an arm around your shoulders to usher you toward the exit*

*figures Thingol's antics are enough to put just about anybody on edge*

Um...I guess? *suddenly tired* Where do you want to go?
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 18:53:41

...

*quite simply* Wherever you're going.
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 19:01:21

*was totally planning on going back to the palace and taking a bath and possibly several tranquilizers*

*uncertainly* I guess I could show you around Thingol's place. I mean, if we're married then you should probably meet everyone there. I don't plan on staying long but it's home for the moment, anyway.
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 19:05:00

*is sort of uncomfortable about being around Thingol since he's the one who had her locked away in the first place, but decides you're worth the risk*

Okay. *smile* You look tired. We can go back there and, after you get some rest, we can sort it all out. I do have some wonderful things to tell you but they can wait until the morning.
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 19:10:30

*lightly* Don't worry about me. If you don't want to go home tonight you can stay at the palace--there's plenty of room--and tomorrow we'll have breakfast. Then you can tell me everything. Sound good?
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 19:12:40

*big smile* That sounds wonderful. Oh, I knew everything would be fine again once you were back, Turambar. You'll remember and everything will be perfect like it was before.
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 19:17:38

o_0 *but no pressure or anything*

*does a damned good job of looking a sight surer than he feels* Túrin to the rescue. Come on then.
From: [info]wailingwoman Date: 01/21/2007 19:24:23

*follows him like a lost little puppy*

*manages to resist the urge to start singing lullabies*

*is shown to a room in Thingol's palace* Goodnight, Turambar. Sleep well.
From: [info]gorthol Date: 01/21/2007 19:32:57

*can tell all is not entirely right in Níniel-land*

*makes a mental note to talk to this friend of yours as soon as possible*

Goodnight. *touches your shoulder briefly* See you in the morning.
