*frowns* Maeglin? You lost your son? Oh, dear. Turgon seemed to think he needed constant supervision. *smiles kindly* I'm sure that's just Turgon, though.
When was the last time you saw him? Maybe I can help you find him. You said you were here to see me?
Well, Lómion and Turvo never did get on terribly well although I won't deny that my son can be a bit of a handful. Between you and me, I think he's having difficult adjusting.
*shakes her head* I'm sure he found his way back to the hotel. I start making phone calls. *blinks* Oh, oh yes. My brother - my other brother - wanted to invite you to Hísilómë, actually, on business.
*laughs softly* I wonder if he understands the meaning of the word.
If you could come back with me now, it might be best? I've got the jet at the airstrip here and the flight is so very short. You'd be back in Delving by nightfall.
*thinks for a moment* I guess that would be all right. I don't want to be gone very long. *happily* My mother just had a baby. I like to stay nearby in case they need me at all. My grandfather's worthless.
*beams* Yes! A little girl. She's so beautiful. *pauses* I guess I hadn't thought about Gil-galad. I'm sure she meant to let him know. It's only been a few days now. She's just getting settled at home with the baby. I can talk to Gil-galad while I'm in Hithlum and maybe even bring him back here?
That mightn't be a bad idea. He's a little -- upset -- at the moment. His girlfriend broke up with him. A bit of responsibility (there's that word again) may do him some good.
*flips open her phone and calls ahead to the airfield* *phones her hotel too, to learn that Maeglin somehow found his way back there* *arranges a taxi to bring him to the airfield*
By the way, I meant to thank you for putting Lómion up before. It was very kind of you.
Well, yes, when we first found him he was... well... he was on something? Drugs? And he was ill overnight. I'm sure he's doing better now, though, away from all that temptation.
*suddenly feels very uncomfortable* Yes? Sorry... I don't really know. That's what Turgon said and it's sort of how it looked to me too. He said something about pills and amphetimines. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... I mean. I thought you knew?
*concerned* Hey, it's not your fault. He's only just gotten here, there was no way for you to know. You were just happy to see your son again. The fact that you care is more important than the fact you didn't notice. Now you can help him.
Well, that might be one way to help him. Let him know that what he does matters to you. Maybe that will do him some good. Rules and boundaries. Unless he's a rebel, which he probably is.
