[Turgon spent the vast majority of The Aftermath hanging out in his sort-of-hidden city, alternately chilling in the absence of his shrewish wife and freaking out about the location of his preciousbabygirl at ground zero. It did occasionally cross his mind that Elenwë had been on her way to Fingonland when the shit hitted the fan, but he didn't worry too much. Once he got his preciousbabygirl back home, safely ensconced in her room and surrounded by a bazillion pillowsthatwillnotexplode, he didn't have anything to worry about. Until he got word from his brother about his hopefully-soon-to-be-ex-wife's amnesia. Well, damn.]
*finally stops putting off the inevitable and fires up the chopper to head to Hithlum*
*is shocked when they get within fifty miles of the city and are told to land immediately or risk being fired upon*
WTF?
*makes it the rest of the way to Fingon's in a car, which completely cramps his style, and spends hours sitting in traffic jams and dealing with border control*
* oh! and he's doing all of this because he has to go pick up his wife, who is injured and forgetful because he wanted a divorce, so now he's just such a bad guy and has to deal with guilt on top of everything else*
*THANKS, ERU*
I am so kicking 'káno's ass. On principle.

* yes you always were, baby!! it's a real miracle of gene selection*
picking fights with crazy men
*looks at her older son confusedly* What, fights? Oh but it's war though, I mean for diplomacy, oh, I get it.
that horrible city
*gets that sort of confused look on her face again but acts like she knows what you mean* Is she staying up there? It's much safer, you're always so protective. :)
*smiling* Oh, fine. I mean the beach was nice, I was going to get a train up but I got a ride instead and that was pretty brazen! interesting but Celebrimbor's really much nicer than you'd think -- oh did you see him yet? He's probably still looking around.
*very pointedly does not bring up the fact that the reason this all seems so cozy is that they're missing one key factor*
